Modi lauds judiciary, says Supreme Court showed strong determination in Ayodhya case

New Delhi [India], Nov 9 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed the country's judiciary for the verdict on Ayodhya case saying that it was like a golden chapter in its history and the Supreme court has shown strong determination.

New Delhi [India], Nov 9 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed the country's judiciary for the verdict on Ayodhya case saying that it was like a golden chapter in its history and the Supreme court has shown strong determination.
Addressing the nation, he said the verdict of Supreme Court has brought a new dawn.
"The Supreme Court has shown a strong determination behind this decision. And therefore, the judges of the country, the courts and our judicial system deserve to be praised," he said.
The Prime Minister said the day was "golden chapter" in the history of Indian judiciary and the decision has been unanimous.
"The day is like a golden chapter in the history of Indian judiciary. During the hearings, the Supreme Court heard everyone, listened very patiently and it is a matter of happiness that they gave a unanimous decision," he said.
Modi said the world today got to know how vibrant and strong is the democracy in the country.
"After the verdict, the way every class, every community, people of every sect, the whole country has accepted it with an open heart...it reflects the ancient culture, traditions and harmony of India," he said.
He said the Supreme Court has given decision on an important matter which has a long history.
Modi said the whole country wanted that the case should have a daily hearing and it happened. "The decades old judicial process has ended," he said.
The Prime Minister also said India is known for "unity in diversity" and people mention it with pride.
"This decision of the Supreme Court has brought a new dawn. This controversy may have affected many generations, but after this decision, we will have to resolve that now a new generation will start building a new India," he said.
"The harmony between us, our unity, our peace, is very important for the development of the country. We have to look towards the future. India has several challenges and goals. People will have to walk together to achieve these goals," he added. (ANI)
