New Delhi [India], October 31 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the Mera Yuva Bharat organization will play a huge role in the development of the country.
PM Modi also launched the 'Mera Yuva Bharat Portal' at the concluding ceremony of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign.
On the occasion, PM Modi said, "While we are culminating an event, on the other hand, this is the beginning of the new resolution. In the 21st century, the Mera Bharat Yuva organization will play a big role in the development of the country. Meri Maati Mera Desh is an example of how the youth can together achieve every target."
Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) is being established as an autonomous body to serve as a one-stop whole-of-government platform for youth of the country.
Prime Minister Modi also compared the public participation in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign with the Dandi Yatra of 1930.
"On the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel everyone is witnessing a historic 'mahayagya' at the Kartavya Path. Just like people got together for the Dandi Yatra, similarly Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav made new history with the scale of people's participation," he said.
While participating in the concluding ceremony of Meri Maati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra, in Delhi PM Modi also applied a teeka on his forehead with the soil.
Prime Minister Modi also watched a digital exhibition during the concluding ceremony.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the next 25 years are crucial for the country's development.
"Today more than two lakh programmes are being concluded under Meri Mati Mera desh campaign. Now it is the beginning of Amrit Kaal. These 25 years will be focussed on making India great. It is the time for 'Sankalp ko Sidhh'. Amrit Kalash will give inspiration to us for the next 25 years," he said.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, "I pay tribute to the first home minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. It was PM Modi's thought that the youth should collect Maati from villages and pay obeisance to the Bravehearts."
The programme also marks the closing ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign also includes the Amrit Kalash Yatra, which comprises a collection of soil and rice grains from over 6 lakh villages in rural areas and from wards in urban areas, which is sent to block level (where mitti of all villages in the block is mixed) and then to the state capital. The mitti from state level will be sent to the National Capital, accompanied by thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris.
The campaign became a massive success, with over 2.3 lakh Shilaphalakams built in 36 states and UTs, nearly 4 crore Panch Pran pledge selfies uploaded, 2 Lakh plus 'Veeron ka Vandan' programs nationwide, more than 2.36 crore indigenous saplings being planted, and 2.63 lakh Amrit Vatikas created under the Vasudha Vandan theme across the country.
