Mehbooba appeals to J-K youth to restore peace
Kulgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 3 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday appealed to the youth of the state to help restore peace. Taking note of the recent mutilation of two Indian soldiers in the Krishna Ghati sector by the Pakistan Army and the loot of two banks, Mehbooba said nothing to be achieved by such acts. "What do we achieve by looting of banks and killing of soldiers? What are we doing for our community? We are not letting children go to school. These soldiers who are working here and taking care of their families are murdered so brutally. The savings of the people are looted by assailants. I would like to urge the youth of the state to work towards bringing prosperity in the state. Help us in bringing an end to this chaos," Mehbooba said. Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh earlier today asserted that Pakistan was doing everything to create havoc in Kashmir. "The Pakistan Army is known for such cowardly acts. We condemn the killing and mutilating the bodies of two Indian soldiers in the Border Action Team (BAT) attack. Pakistan is doing everything in their power to create havoc in Kashmir by engineering such terror attacks," Singh told ANI. The Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) mutilated the bodies of two Indian soldiers in Krishna Ghati sector, where they had beheaded Lance Naik Hemraj in 2013. The Indian Army confirmed the involvement of the BAT in the gruesome act beheading Indian soldier. Earlier today, terrorists looted Rs. 5 lakh from Ellaquai Dehati Bank's branch in Pulwama District's Wahibug village. A second similar incident took place in a bank in the Nehama Kakapora area.
