"Meeting deliberated on advancing good governance": Goa CM Pramod Sawant after attending NDA's CM, Dy CM meeting

Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], October 17 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant attended the NDA Chief Ministers' Council Meeting in Chandigarh, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday in Chandigarh. The meeting deliberated on advancing good governance and ensuring efficient delivery of public services.
Goa CM informed that the meeting reaffirmed NDA's commitment to the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He also expressed certainty that Goa will play a crucial role in this national journey.
The Chief Minister also stated that Goa's unique strengths in tourism, culture, industry, and innovation position it as a key contributor to India's growth story. He reiterated that the Goa government is dedicated to working towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, promoting self-reliance, sustainability, and prosperity for all.
In a social media post on X, he wrote, "Attended the NDA Chief Ministers' Council Meeting in Chandigarh, chaired by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji."
"The meeting deliberated on advancing good governance and ensuring efficient delivery of public services. We reaffirmed our commitment to the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. I firmly believe that our state will play a crucial role in this national journey. Goa's unique strengths in tourism, culture, industry, and innovation position it as a key contributor to India's growth story. We are dedicated to working towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, promoting self-reliance, sustainability, and prosperity for all," he added.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Chandigarh on Thursday.
In a post on X, Modi shared pictures from the meeting and wrote: "Chaired a meeting of NDA Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers. We had extensive discussions on aspects of good governance and ways to improve people's lives. Our alliance is committed to furthering national progress and empowering the poor and downtrodden."
The agenda for the meeting included discussions on national development issues, along with topics such as the observance of 'Sanvidhan Ka Amrut Mahotsav' and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the "attempt to murder democracy."
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the high-level meeting.
A total of 13 Chief Ministers and 16 Deputy Chief Ministers from the BJP participated, along with Chief Ministers from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, which are governed by NDA partners.The meeting focused on key issues, including the observance of 'Sanvidhan Ka Amrut Mahotsav' and the 50th anniversary of the "attempt to murder democracy."
