Mayawati is afraid of people's brewing affection for PM Modi in UP: BJP
Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], Jan. 16 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday hit out at Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, saying that the latter is getting insecure as Prime Minister Narendra Modi isgarnering huge praise in Uttar Pradesh because of his demonetisation decision. "Mayawati does not know about what type of days are coming for BJP but she certainly knows that her bad days are coming soon. She is afraid of the rising popularity of Prime Minister Modi amongst people of Uttar Pradesh for his demonetisation decision," BJP leader Rahul Sinha told ANI. He said people have understood what Mayawati and her brother are doing and what they have done with the party funds. Sinha said the core voters of Mayawati are alleging that she has looted the money and Prime Minister Modi has snatched the black money from the corrupt persons. "Time will tell about the good or bad days but one thing is sure that BJP will emerge as the single largest party in UP and form the government there," he said. Mayawati on Sunday raked up the demonetisation drive and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should be ready to face its repercussion in the politically crucial state. The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said the BJP should be ready to face the consequences of their decision in the Uttar Pradesh polls as the move has rendered 90 percent of people cashless. "It's been over 50 days post demonetisation and yet the Prime Minister has not said how much black money has been recovered," she said. (ANI)
