Allahabad [India], Jan. 27 (ANI): In Uttar Pradesh, the most auspicious bathing of Mauni Amawasya has begun at Sangam in Allahabad amid strict security arrangements.

Mauni Amawasya begins at Sangam in Allahabad
Allahabad [India], Jan. 27 (ANI): In Uttar Pradesh, the most auspicious bathing of Mauni Amawasya has begun at Sangam in Allahabad amid strict security arrangements. Devotees started taking holy dips at Sangam and 18 other ghats early this morning. Mauni Amawasya is considered most important bathing day during the magh month. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Amawasya bathing. Railways and UP Roadways have made special arrangements for carrying pilgrims. District authorities have made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the holy bath and Magh Mela Administration is working round the clock for the purpose. More than 3,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed. Anti Terrorist Squad and units of water police have also been deployed. (ANI)
