Martyred BSF soldier's family demands 'decisive action' against Pakistan
Pratapghar (Tripura) [India], Nov. 24 (ANI): The family of martyred BSF constable Sambhu Satmura, who reside in Pratapgarh, Tripura, has appealed to the government to take 'stern steps' against Pakistan and save the precious lives of Indian troopers. "My request is that our government should take tough steps against Pakistan so that our brothers in the Indian security forces do not lose their lives," said Moushami Satmura, the younger sister of the deceased. "My brother was posted in Jammu and Kashmir and while returning from patrolling the incident took place," she added. Constable Sambhu Satmura of the 107 battalion of the BSF died on Tuesday evening in the Jamia Wali Gali area of Sawjian sector in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Satmura, 28, was the lone earning member of his five member family that included his mother, two younger sisters and his wife. His father, also a BSF trooper, has been missing for many years. A pall of gloom has descended on the area. Neighbours and local leaders are extending support to the family of the brave heart. Bithika Paul, a local councilor, said, "We do not feel he has died, he shall be always alive amongst us because he is an Indian soldier who sacrificed his life for the motherland. The incident took place in Kashmir and he is a martyr who was very popular here. Everyone use to love him." The martyr's body was supposed to reach Agartala yesterday, but due to bad weather, its arrival has been delayed. (ANI)
