Man held for posing as secretary of PM Modi's brother

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 4 (ANI): The Hyderabad Police Task Force has arrested a man named Venkat after he allegedly tried seeking favours from the Central Government officials by claiming that he was the secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brother Prahlad Bhai Modi.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 4 (ANI): The Hyderabad Police Task Force has arrested a man named Venkat after he allegedly tried seeking favours from the Central Government officials by claiming that he was the secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brother Prahlad Bhai Modi. According to DCP Task Force Limba Reddy, Venkat is the owner of an advertising agency in Hyderabad. Venkat had met Prahlad Bhai Modi when the latter had visited the Hyderabad earlier. He made calls to few Central Government officers in Delhi and tried to seek favours from them. He approached them for appointments also. Venkat had put his name as the "Secretary PMO Modi" on the True Caller mobile application in his phone. A case of cheating and extortion under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered by the police. An investigation is underway. (ANI)
