Mamata to start Tripura visit to oust CPI-M led Left Front government
Agartala (Tripura), July 19 (ANI): With the target to oust the alleged 'undemocratic' CPIM led Left Front government of Tripura, Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee is starting her visit to the Left ruled northeastern state in August. This will be her first visit to Tripura after taking charge as Chief Minister for the second time following a landmark victory in West Bengal fighting against the Congress and Left Front alliance. TMC Chairman of Tripura state Ratan Chakraborty speaking to reporters said, "She is always keen to see that Tripura people should be freed from the undemocratic government which snatches the rights from the people of the state and doing rampant corruption as well as depriving all section of people. She is coming to send the message to the people of Tripura to oust the CPIM politically from the state and make a good government like West Bengal and for the welfare of the people of Tripura." The date of the West Bengal Chief Minister's visit to Tripura has been fixed on 9th August and for which the TMC leaders are preparing the ground to give her a grand welcome. Chakraborty alleged that the Manik Sarkar government which ruling Tripura for around two decades is undemocratic and corrupt beside depriving all section of people. TMC declared its movement with target to oust CPIM from power in the 2018 assembly election. Around a month back six rebel Congress MLAs in Tripura had joined the TMC over the Congress-Left Front alliance in West Bengal. In the 60-member House in Tripura, the Left Front has 50 seats and of the nine MLAs of Congress (after one resigning), six submitted the letter to the Speaker announcing their joining of the TMC.
