Kolaghat (West Bengal) [India], Feb 6 (ANI): Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of "doing everything except running her government".
Addressing a public rally here, Chouhan said: "These days Mamata ji is doing everything else except running her government. Amit Shah's chopper doesn't land, the Prime Minister doesn't get to address a  rally, Yogi ji shouldn't address a rally, Shivraj's chopper doesn't land…in all these worries Mamata Didi is becoming frail."
On the Mamata vs Centre controversy over CBI's attempt to arrest Kolkata police commissioner Rajeev Kumar and her subsequent 'dharna' in protest, Chouhan said: " Mamata ji, not only Bengal but entire nation wants to know why do you want to protect Rajeev Kumar. Who would have landed in trouble had he been interrogated? She sits on dharna worrying, she loses her sleep. We want answers. Has an IPS officer ever sat on a dharna?"
Yesterday Chouhan alleged that his counterpart in West Bengal had denied him permission to land his chopper in the state for a public rally.
He said that Banerjee is "scared" and, therefore she doesn’t allow her opponents to present their views before the people.
“The Constitution permits all political parties to present their stand before the public. Who is Mamata Banerjee scared of? I have a rally in Berhampore tomorrow but I have been informed that permission for my chopper's landing and venue have not been granted,” Chouhan said on Tuesday. (ANI)

In an 'X' post, TMC said the government has "ek hi naara, line mein rahe desh bechara," pointing to past governmental measures including demonetisation, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Special Identification Registration (SIR), and now the LPG shortage. The party described demonetisation as a "Tughlaqi farman" that forced ordinary citizens to wait in serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs for days to access their own money. The post also highlighted the 2020 COVID-19 oxygen crisis, when families stood in long lines outside hospitals and suppliers as the public health system collapsed.
