Maharashtra polls: CM Shinde, Deputy CMs Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar jointly release Mahayuti's manifeso in Kolhapur

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 5 (ANI): Ahead of the assembly polls, the Mahayuti alliance on Tuesday unveiled its much-anticipated manifesto presenting a vision aimed at driving Maharashtra toward "unprecedented prosperity and development."
During a public meeting held in Kolhapur North, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar jointly launched the manifesto, highlighting the alliance's commitment to transformative growth and a progressive future for the state. The Mahayuti alliance, comprises BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
With a ten-point agenda, the alliance aims to bring in a prosperous Maharashtra--from economic relief for farmers and job creation for the youth to women's safety and social security for senior citizens. At the heart of the manifesto is a commitment to increase financial aid and support across sectors. Under the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme, monthly allowances for women will be raised from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100, with 25,000 new police recruits to boost women's safety.
Farmers will benefit from a loan waiver and enhanced annual support of Rs 15,000 under the "Shetkari Sanman Yojna," along with a 20 per cent MSP subsidy. Senior citizens' monthly pensions will also increase to Rs 2,100, ensuring dignity in their later years, the manifest said.
The manifesto outlines a commitment to ensuring that every individual has access to necessities such as food and shelter, addressing fundamental needs to improve overall living conditions. Additionally, it promises measures to keep the prices of essential commodities stable, aiming to shield households from sudden price surges and ensuring that basic items remain affordable. Through these pledges, the manifesto seeks to build a more secure and supportive environment for all citizens, emphasizing stability and accessibility in daily life.
To enhance employment, Mahayuti has pledged to create 25 lakh jobs, providing stipends of Rs 10,000 per month to train 10 lakh students. Roads in 45,000 villages will be paved, improving rural infrastructure. Additionally, Anganwadi and ASHA workers are set to receive a salary increase to Rs 15,000 per month. The manifesto also promises insurance security for Anganwadi and ASHA workers.
In terms of energy, the manifesto promises a 30 per cent reduction in electricity bills and a shift towards renewable sources to bring relief to households while supporting a sustainable future.
The manifesto also lists 'Vision Maharashtra 2029' which will be presented within the first 100 days of forming the government, marking a roadmap for the upcoming government, it added.
Maharashtra elections will be held in a single phase on November 20 with counting of votes on November 23. (ANI)
