Maharashtra: Eight, including seven students drown in Sindhudurg

Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) [India], Apr. 15 (ANI): At least eight people including seven students of Belgaum's Engineering College drowned in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg during a college picnic.

Maharashtra: Eight, including seven students drown in Sindhudurg
Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) [India], Apr. 15 (ANI): At least eight people including seven students of Belgaum's Engineering College drowned in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg during a college picnic. Three others were rescued by the local fishermen and admitted to the nearby hospital. The fishermen also assisted the coast guard. The police reached the spot to recover the bodies of the victims from the sea. Among the eight dead are one teacher, three girls and four boys. A group of 60 students of Maratha Engineering College, Belgaum, Karnataka had come for the picnic at Wairy beach when the incident took place. (ANI)
