New Delhi [India], November 3 (ANI): With just three days left for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Congress leader Pawan Khera on Monday exuded confidence and said the Mahagathbandhan is poised to form a government in the state.
"We are all confident. Mahagathbandhan is going to form the Government in Bihar," Khera told ANI.
Speaking on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's absence from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's road show in Patna, Khera asserted, "A direct message has been given. Nitish ji was not there (in PM's rally). What else can be said?"
Earlier today, Mahagathbandhan Chief Minister nominee Tejashwi Yadav didn't express surprise over Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's absence from PM Narendra Modi's road show in Patna, stating that it is evident as the BJP has no plans of making JD(U) supremo Chief Minister again.
"What's surprising about this? Everyone knows that the BJP will not make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister," Tejashwi Yadav told reporters.
He also criticised PM Modi's "Katta" remark during a public rally in Arrah, noting that he had never seen a Prime Minister speak such language.
"Jiski jaisi soch hai, uski waisi bhavna hai. He acts like that and speaks just like that. Maybe he pointed guns to make others join the NDA. I do not want to comment on it. But listen to the PM's language. I have never heard any PM speak like this," Tejashwi added.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Sanjay Yadav claimed that the ruling NDA is losing ground in the state and asserted that the Mahagathbandhan is poised to form the next government.
Speaking to reporters in Patna, the RJD MP exuded confidence and said, "The writing on the wall is clear now," and Mahagathbandhan is going to form the government.
"The message is clear that after 14th Nov, NDA CM's face won't be visible anywhere publicly. What did the CM say? That NDA will form the Govt. But CM's name has not been taken anywhere. His own people are saying this now. You do not even need to read between the lines. The writing on the wall is clear now... Mahagathbandhan is going to form the government," said Yadav.
Polling for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly is scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting set for November 14. (ANI)
