Patna (Bihar) [India], November 10 (ANI): The RJD seems to be buoyant about a Mahagathbandhan win in the Bihar polls. Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Misa Bharti mocked the National Democratic Alliance on Monday, stating that just as the BJP had failed to reach its predicted tally of over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, the same would happen to its predictions in the Bihar polls as well.
Misa Bharti was replying to recent remarks made by the BJP leadership in the state about the NDA winning more than 200 seats in the Bihar polls.
"They claimed that they would won more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha, and now they claim they will win here too (lok sabha mein bhi 400 plus jeet chuke hai, yahan bhi jeet jayenge). Here, the government of the Mahagathbandhan is being formed, a government for the unemployed and the youth," Misa Bharti told reporters.
The RJD MP further emphasised that the people of Bihar are aware and know where to vote and where their children's future lies.
"We appeal to everyone to come out of their homes and cast their votes. The people of Bihar don't need to be told -- they are very aware. They know which direction to vote in, where the future of their children lies, who is talking about their future, and who is working for their betterment," Misa Bharti added.
Earlier, Union Education Minister and BJP in charge of Bihar Dharmendra Pradhan, who has been campaigning in Bihar ahead of the second phase of assembly elections, on Monday firmly stated that there was no confusion about Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar being the Chief Ministerial face of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
"Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) has been very clear. He has already said that we do not have a vacancy. Why should we name the person (who is the sitting CM)? The name is Nitish Kumar. Where is the confusion? We don't have any confusion. Our (CM) face is Nitish Kumar," Pradhan told ANI in an interview.
Following a historic voter turnout in the first phase of polls, voting for 122 assembly constituencies across 20 districts in Bihar will be held during the second phase of the assembly elections on November 11.
The results for the legislative assembly elections will be announced on November 14. (ANI)
