LS Speaker takes sense of House, asks opposition to raise issues in zero hour not question hour

According to a Lok Sabha bulletin issued on September 16, Lok Sabha Speaker has nominated Javed Ali Khan and James Pangsang Kongkal Sangma, Members of Rajya Sabha, as Special Invitees to the Joint Committee.

During the second phase of the Samajik Samrasta Mahotsav, 21 Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe families whose homes Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji had visited and with whom he had shared meals during the Gram Kalyan Programme were invited and felicitated at Lok Bhavan.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday interacted with students of Government Senior Secondary School, Rail, in Hamirpur district’s Nadaun area and sought feedback on their studies, careers and changes in the education sector. During the interaction, students raised issues related to cleanliness, the CBSE curriculum, NEET question paper leaks, bus services and damaged school steps. Sukhu said cleanliness should become a people’s movement and stressed that those involved in question paper leaks would face strict action. He also directed officials to repair the damaged steps and said necessary arrangements were being made for a bus service from Rangs to the school.

The camp was organised under the initiative of the 5 Tripura Battalion NCC, in collaboration with the West Tripura District Administration, as part of a series of service-oriented activities marking the occasion.

Senior BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar, hitting back at Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his criticism regarding Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transaction charges, asserted that the government’s updated framework safeguards small businesses and everyday consumers while maintaining India's digital payment ecosystem as the world’s most cost-effective network.
