Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh meeting farmers’ representatives and organisations on Monday in New Delhi.

New India [India], Mar 11 (ANI): With the impending Lok Sabha polls in mind, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday met farmers’ representatives and organisations here.
During the meeting, discussions were reportedly held on issues farmers are facing in order to include these in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto for the upcoming elections.
Also present at the meeting were Agriculture Minister RadhaMohanSingh and Defence Minister NirmalaSitharaman.
The meeting comes a day after the Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the seven-phase Lok Sabha election, slated to begin on April 11.
The final phase of voting will take place on May 19, and counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
