Live Parliament video: Unfazed AAP MP says 'will do it again'
New Delhi, JUly 21 (ANI): After drawing flak from several quarters for uploading a video of his journey from his home to Parliament on Facebook, unfazed Aam Aadmi Party Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann on Thursday said he would again post a Facebook live tomorrow. "Is it illegal and inappropriate to post a video showing how questions are taken up in Parliament during the Question Hour? Did my video pose a security threat to Parliament? I will do a live video again tomorrow, let them serve me a notice," the AAP MP told reporters outside Parliament. "I will do it again, and you too air it live at 8.50 a.m.. I don't believe that by telling people how Zero Hour questions are submitted will put Parliament in danger" he told reporters. "I come to Parliament everyday between 8.30 and 9 a.m. to submit question for the 'Zero Hour'. How a question is submitted and what the procedure involved in it? Besides, in a democracy, people are bigger than leaders - I had started my video saying these words," said Mann, while defending his move. "How lucky draw is taken out that decides who are going to speak in Parliament? Is it inappropriate to tell all these things to people, who have voted and sent us here to raise their problems? Telling about the procedure involved in raising a question is illegal," said Mann justifying his action. In the video, Mann is even heard narrating the security procedures that an MP are subjected to while entering the Parliament building. In the 11 minute 52 second video, Mann is seen entering the Parliament lobby with the phone where he also recorded the procedure of asking questions during Zero Hour. Reacting to Maan's video, BJP's Meenakshi Lekhi said, "It needs to be verified if it was an act of foolishness or was done under influence of some agencies." Another BJP leader R.K. Singh said, "It was highly irresponsible of Mann. He should have had some sense. There already had been an attack on Parliament." (ANI)
