New Delhi [India], September 20 (ANI): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Lt Governor V K Saxena sparred on Thursday over unfinished sewerage work in West Delhi. AAP claimed that due to obstacles created in the functioning of the elected government, avoidable delays have been caused in desilting and sewerage work in Delhi.
Earlier, Saxena, in a post on X, criticised the Delhi government for neglecting lakhs of people in West Delhi.
"Due to government neglect and the associated administrative inertia, lakhs of people in West Delhi are forced to live a life worse than hell," the post read.

In a response to the post, AAP said, "The LG has consistently created obstacles in the functioning of the elected government resulting in avoidable delays. His only role in Delhi has been to sabotage the works undertaken by the AAP government for the citizens of Delhi. If not for the constant disruptions caused by the LG either directly or through the officers, the desilting & sewerage work, throughout Delhi would have completed before the onset of monsoons in Delhi."
In another post shared by Lt Governor, Saxena, he shared pictures of his inspection that he held at various areas like Mundka, Nangloi, Firni Road, and Rohtak Road in West Delhi, for repair work and also shared picture of the contact details of various officials who could be contacted for redressing various complaints.

"After inspection yesterday evening in areas like Mundka, Nangloi, Firni Road, Rohtak Road in West Delhi, repair work has been going on since late night. People of the area can call the officials in the attached list to get their complaints redressed," the post read.
AAP has subsequently responded and assured that the government will be ensuring quick completion of any unfinished work.
"Be that as it may, the AAP government will ensure that no work shall suffer & the sewerage/ desilting work in West Delhi, which is ongoing, shall also be completed soon," said AAP in a statement. (ANI)
