Samastipur (Bihar) [India], October 24 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday trained guns at the opposition Mahagathbandhan, accusing them of prioritising their family's political futures over the welfare of Bihar's youth, adding that these parties are "setting new records of lies" in front of the state's youth.
Sharpening his attacks on RJD, Prime Minister Modi said that law and order cannot prevail in an RJD-ruled state.
He also criticised the RJD's "jungle-raj" in Bihar, alleging that there was rampant extortion, murder, ransom, and kidnapping at that time, which "ruined generations" of the state.
"RJD and Congress are only concerned about the political future of their own families. That's why today they are setting new records of lies in front of Bihar's youth. Law and order cannot exist where a party like the RJD is in power. Under the RJD rule, extortion, murder, ransom, and kidnapping flourished. The RJD's jungle raj ruined generations of Bihar. The biggest sufferers of RJD's misrule were my mothers and sisters, the youth, the Dalits and backward classes of Bihar, and the extremely backward classes of Bihar. During this jungle raj, the doors of police stations were closed to Dalits and the extremely backward classes," PM Modi said during a rally in Samastipur.
The Prime Minister alleged that Naxalism and "Maoist terrorism" also flourished during the RJD's rule in the state. "Naxalism and Maoist terrorism also flourished during the RJD's jungle raj... There was a time when more than one and half dozens of districts of Bihar were affected by Naxalism," he said.
He asserted that "Maoist terrorism" will soon be eradicated from across the country.
"In 2014, you gave the NDA an opportunity in Delhi. I resolved to liberate the youth of Bihar and the country from this Maoist terror...We have broken the back of Naxalism, Maoist terrorism in Bihar. Very soon, the entire country, the entire Bihar, will be completely free from Maoist terror, and this is Modi's guarantee," PM Modi said.
PM Narendra Modi says, "...'Har ek ke haath mein light hain toh lantern (RJD symbol) chahiye kya?'..."
While lauding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for good governance, Prime Minister Modi accused Congress and RJD created obstacles before Nitish Kumar government and said they left no stones unturned to trouble the people of Bihar.
"Bihar was freed from the 'Jungle Raj' in October 2005. Under Nitish Kumar's leadership, the NDA government was formed in the state. During that time, the Congress-RJD alliance was in power at the Centre for 10 years. The Congress-RJD government put obstacles in Nitish Kumar's path and left no stone unturned to trouble the people of Bihar. The RJD used to take revenge on the people of Bihar for voting for Nitish Kumar. They also used to threaten the Congress, saying they would withdraw support from the government if it agreed to anything that Nitish Kumar or the NDA-BJP wanted," he stated.
"Today, there is no corner of Bihar where no development work of any kind is taking place. You will surely see some development work underway. The NDA government does not consider roads, electricity, water, internet, gas connections... merely as facilities; these are also means of empowerment and prosperity," he added.
The Prime Minister said that the amount of money Bihar received during BJP's rule in Centre is triple than what the state had received from the previous Congress governments.
PM Modi said, "During the Congress era, the amount of money that Bihar received has been tripled by the BJP, NDA government, which has given three times more money for Bihar's development. When three times the money comes, the development will also be three times more, of course. A six-lane highway is being built from Samastipur to Purnia. New rail lines are being constructed, trains like Vande Bharat are running, and new electricity factories are being set up in Bihar.
Exuding confidence, PM Modi asserted that NDA will break all its previous records of victory and receive its biggest ever mandate.
"This time under the leadership of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, NDA will break all its previous records of victory. Bihar will give NDA its biggest ever mandate," he said.
Prime Minister Modi further said, "Inspired by the leader of the people, Karpoori Thakur, we are transforming good governance into prosperity. But on the other hand, you know better than me what the RJD and Congress are saying and doing. I don't need to remind you. These people are out on bail in scams worth thousands of crores. Those who are out on bail are out on bail in theft cases. Now their habit of stealing is such that they are engaged in stealing the title of Karpoori Thakur. The people of Bihar will never tolerate this insult to the leader of the people, Karpoori Thakur. They will never tolerate it."
Bihar will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
