"Lagao jitna zor tanashahi ke liye...": Mallikarjun Kharge fires fresh jibe at BJP

"Lagao jitna zor tanashahi ke liye, hum bhi ladte rahenge apni begunahi ke liye (Use as much force as you want for dictatorship, We will also keep fighting for our innocence)," Kharge said while addressing a poll campaign in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior East constituency.

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 7 (ANI): Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday fired a fresh jibe at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior.
"Before a Congress candidate, there are other candidates including ED, CBI, Modi, and Shivraj (Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan). Before the elections in Chhattisgarh, the BJP is trying to scare the CM. The Modi government is trying to scare us, but we are not scared", he added.
Attacking the Madhya Pradesh government, Kharge said, "Today, Madhya Pradesh tops the list when it comes to corruption, crime rate, unemployment and farmers' issues. Why didn't the BJP government solve the issues of the farmers? The poor are standing with the Congress. The BJP is just playing politics in the name of religion".
Reiterating the caste-census vow, the Congress President said, "The Congress government will conduct a caste census if voted to power. Let us win and we will build the country".
The opposition MPs of the newly established INDIA bloc have been demanding a caste census throughout the country claiming that it will be conducive to providing rights to different communities based on their population.
Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh Congress has announced in its manifesto that it would conduct a caste survey in the state if voted to power.
The Congress has fielded its sitting MLA, Satish Singh Sikarwar, from Gwalior East.
Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states set to undergo polls in one phase on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies. (ANI)
