Banka (Bihar) [India], April 14 (ANI):Taking a jibe at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that Laalten ka yug jaa chuka hai ab LED ka yug hai" and alleged that Tejashwi Yadav is posting visuals of eating fish during Navratri.
Addressing a public meeting here today, Rajnath said, "Laalten ka yug jaa chuka hai ab LED ka yug hai."
"Navratri time is going on, and the leader of Bihar is shown eating fish. You can eat elephants, eat horses, and eat whatever food you want; why show it to the world? Who has given you the right to hurt people's sentiments? arrogance to this extent? Even during our Ramayana period, we have seen what is the fate of those who develop ego," he said.
"We do politics to build the country. This is in our character. Most of the countries are asking to hold the meeting in October 2024 with us because they already know that the NDA government will be formed under the leadership of PM Modi in the elections," he added.
Further, in another attack aimed at RJD chief Lalu Yadav's daughter Misha Bharti over her remarks on PM Modi, Rajnath Singh said that they speak whatever comes to their minds without thinking.
"Then they also say that if our government is formed, then they will put Modi ji in jail. Who dares to put Modi ji in jail? Those who are on bail themselves will do this. They say whatever comes to their mind. "Laalten ka yug jaa chuka hai ab LED ka yug hai (the era of lanterns is over, now is the era of LED)," he said.
The defence minister also emphasized that India is no longer weak but has become a powerful country in the world.
"We don't show the eye to anyone, but if someone looks at us, we know how to respond. Our PM Modi is trying to maintain good relations with neighbouring countries. But when our neighbouring country tried to spread terrorism in our country, our army responded to them in their own turf," Rajnath said.
Meanwhile, his remarks come after PM Modi on Friday attacked the 'Mughal' mindset of INDIA bloc leaders Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav and his son, Tejashwi Yadav for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus and teasing them by cooking mutton during Sawan and eating fish during Navratri. (ANI)
