KVS suspends principal accused of sexual abuse

New Delhi, [India], Feb. 16 (ANI): The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) on Thursday suspended Principal of Bengaluru's Hebbal Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Kumar Thakur, who was allegedly involved in sexual abuse of a female student.

KVS suspends principal accused of sexual abuse
New Delhi, [India], Feb. 16 (ANI): The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) on Thursday suspended Principal of Bengaluru's Hebbal Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Kumar Thakur, who was allegedly involved in sexual abuse of a female student. An enquiry committee constituted by the Deputy Commissioner of KVS Regional Office in Bangalore suspended Thakur with immediate effect. The decision was based on a preliminary enquiry report by the committee. However, as per the provisions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Education Code, a summary enquiry will be conducted in the future. In order to ensure free and fair inquiry, the KVS had earlier transferred the accused to KV Karwar on administrative grounds. (ANI)
