New Delhi [India], October 10 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party leader Tarun Chugh on Friday launched a scathing attack on the INDI alliance, calling them a group of "promise breakers and kings of lying", after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav announced a government job guarantee if elected to power in the upcoming Bihar assembly polls.
The BJP leader pointed out the hypocrisy of the party, which presided over "jungle raaj" in the state, talking about job guarantee. He also reaffirmed that it is the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) which has brought the state to the path of development.
"The INDI alliance is a group of promise-breakers, kings of lying. Those who have a history of jungle raj, dictatorship, corruption, and looting are talking about employment today", Chugh told ANI here.
Chugh further highlighted the various schemes and guarantees announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including self-employment opportunity to around 75 lakh women, and giving a Rs 62,000 crore package to the youth of Bihar.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the NDA has provided self-employment to 75 lakh women in just one month and given a package of Rs 62,000 crore for the youth of Bihar so that every hand gets work and Bihar can move forward", he added.
"During the time of Congress and Lalu Yadav, Bihar was a sick state and it is through the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish that the state has gotten on a path to development," Chugh alleged.
Earlier on October 9, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav promised that within 20 days of the formation of the Mahagathbandhan government, it will pass a law ensuring a government job for every household in Bihar.
"We are announcing today that in every family in Bihar where no one currently holds a government job, a new legislation will be enacted to ensure employment. Within 20 days of forming the government, this law will be passed, and within 20 months, every family without a government job will have at least one member employed in government service. Tejashwi will ensure that no household in Bihar is left without a government job," Yadav said while addressing a press conference in Patna.
Tejashwi also mentioned that he provided five lakh government jobs during his 17-month tenure, slamming the government by stating that the people who used to mock his party regarding unemployment are receiving unemployment allowances. (ANI)
