Kerala: Opposition leader VD Satheesan casts vote in Ernakulam

Ernakulam (Kerala) [India], April 26 (ANI): Kerala Opposition leader VD Satheesan cast his vote at a polling booth in North Paravoor under Ernakulam parliamentary constituency on Friday.
Voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 began at 7:00 am across 88 Parliamentary Constituencies spread over 12 States and Union Territories.
Earlier, in a post on X, the Congres leader Satheesan on Thursday said, "INDIA will win for India. Tomorrow is the day when each of us will carry out a historic mission. Twenty out of twenty UDF (United Democratic Front) will win."
Meanwhile, BJP-led NDA candidate from Thrissur Suresh Gopi casts his vote in Thrissur, Kerala in the second phase of Lok Sabha election 2024.
After casting his vote, Gopi spoke about the significance of this election and the participation of the people in Kerala."You will see the people's hearts. The nation will see the participation of Kerala in the national development movement. So the heart will bloom in Thrissur and such other constituencies in the states," says Gopi, NDA candidate from Thrissur, after casting his vote..
For first-time voters, Suresh Gopi acknowledged their understanding of the importance of voting."They know well. You don't have to educate them. They know what life is. Life is not all about politics but politics and administration through political decisions are very important in life and they are very well aware of it," Gopi said.
Kerala has 20 seats, including Kasaragod, Kannur, Vatakara, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Ponnani, Palakkad, Alathur, Thrissur, Chalakudy, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Mavelikkara, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Attingal, and Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the Election Commission, Kerala has over 2.75 crore voters.
In Kerala, a total of 194 candidates across 20 Lok Sabha seats are competing for voters' support.
The counting of votes will be held on June 4. (ANI)
