Kerala govt showed 'undue haste, political ill-will' towards Hindu society in Sabarimala case: RSS

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Mar 9 (ANI): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Saturday hit out at the Kerala government for “showing undue haste and political ill-will towards the Hindu society” while implementing the Supreme Court judgement in the Sabarimala temple case.
In a statement at the three-day conclave of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) here, the RSS said, “It was not binding on the state government to implement the decision in any stipulated time frame, but without understanding the nuances of the judgment, the state government has shown undue haste and political ill-will towards the Hindu society by facilitating forcible entry of non-Hindu and non-devotee women in the temple.”
The meeting of the ABPS, the apex policy-making body of the RSS, began on Friday.
In September, a five-judge Constitution bench of the court had opened the temple doors to women between the ages of 10 and 50, ending the decades-long ban on their entry. Two women have managed to enter the temple since then.
However, Justice Indu Malhotra, the lone woman judge on the bench, had differed from the views of her male colleagues.
The RSS said, "The Supreme Court, in the Sabarimala case, without taking into consideration all the relevant entities and customs, delivered a judgement even without consideration of the opinion of the lone women member of the bench". (ANI)
