Kerala: 21 injured in Sabarimala stampede

Pathanamthitta (Kerala) [India], Dec. 25 (ANI): As many as 21 persons were injured and two seriously injured following a stampede at the Sabarimala temple in Kerala on Sunday.

Kerala: 21 injured in Sabarimala stampede
Pathanamthitta (Kerala) [India], Dec. 25 (ANI): As many as 21 persons were injured and two seriously injured following a stampede at the Sabarimala temple in Kerala on Sunday. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are currently working at the spot trying to bring the situation under control. Ayyappa Dharma Sena president Rahul Easwar said most of the pilgrims belong to Andhra. Easwar said that the police has initiated crowd control measures, adding that situation is under control now. All the injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. There was extra rush at the popular temple because the Ayyappa idol was adorned with the Thanga Angi jewels during the evening puja. (ANI)
