New Delhi [India], June 6 (ANI): BJP's national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Sunday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleging him of doing drama for politics while calling the 'doorstep ration delivery scheme' a scam.
Speaking to ANI, Patra said, "Arvind Kejriwal tried to mislead the country and I want to say it clearly about the drama he did, I will expose it. He painted a picture that Prime Minister Modi is preventing door-to-door ration delivery. This is false. One nation, one ration card is a Central initiative. Delhi Government refused to implement it. Thousands of migrant labourers are devoid of the benefit of the scheme."
"Kejriwal is saying he will provide doorstep delivery. But how will they ensure that it reaches the right people? They said they will take biometrics of those getting ration. EPOS is a machine to track ration. Kejriwal got it stopped in ration shops. Even smaller states have implemented EPOS machines and there is 80 per cent Aadhar card verification for distribution. In Delhi, Aadhaar card verification is zero," claimed the BJP leader.
He said under the national food security act 72.78 lakh people were provided ration. The Central government is giving food grains under two schemes NFSA and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana in Delhi
"Kejriwal has hidden a provision. Delhi agencies will pick and give processed food grains and levy extra charges like flour made of wheat. Kejriwal did not speak on how much extra charge he wanted from the poor. We will not be able to find who was getting the ration. It was a scam," the BJP leader said.
Sambit Patra further slammed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in alphabetical order from 'A' to 'F'.
He said 'A' stands for advertisement. "Kejriwal is walking with oxygen cylinders on both sides and he says we are preparing for the third wave. Had he prepare during the second wave, Delhi would not be reeling under COVID." he said.
Patra alleged that the Delhi Chief Minister for playing the blame game.
"B for blame - Modiji you did not give bed, Remdisivir...In the morning, you will find Kejriwal saying he had arranged for oxygen and medicines," Patra said.
He said 'C' stands for credit. "Both Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia went on about taking credit. You took credit for the mohalla clinic and what has happened to it," the BJP leader said.
Patra accused Kejriwal of doing drama for politics. "D for drama. He says we need to work in cooperation. But what did you do Kejriwal? You only do politics. On January 26, you took a blanket and sat on protest." stated the BJP leader.
Patra alleged Kejriwal only makes excuses. "E for excuses. He gives excuses on everything. Godowns have ration and you buy grains on notified rates but you need to disturb the central scheme," the BJP leader alleged.
Patra said the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government failed in every aspect.
"F for failure. No hospital, no oxygen plant, no infrastructure...He says he will get constructed and then says Modiji would not let him do," stated Patra.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday slammed the Central government for putting a stop to the government's doorstep ration delivery scheme that was scheduled to start on Monday, asking why, despite writing to the Centre five times, the scheme had been brought to a halt. (ANI)
