New Delhi [India], May 16 (ANI): Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be visiting the Darbar Sahib in Punjab on Thursday, the first time after his interim bail in the Delhi excise policy case. The visit will follow a joint press conference he held with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav earlier in the day.
"I have reached Punjab after holding a press conference with Akhilesh ji in Lucknow. I will go to Darbar Sahib in some time. I am going for the first time after coming out of jail. After that, I will take blessings at Durgiana temple. Tomorrow I will go to Ram Tirtha," Kejriwal said in a post on 'X'.
Kejriwal is slated to hold a mega roadshow in Amritsar to mark the start of the Aam Aadmi Party chief's election campaign for Lok Sabha polls in Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will also be part of the roadshow that will kick off at 6 pm on Thursday, the party said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal held a rally in the national capital in support of the Congress candidate from North West Delhi Udit Raj and the Congress candidate from North East Delhi Kanhaiya Kumar.
The Congress and AAP are contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi in a seat-sharing arrangement in which AAP is contesting four seats whereas the Congress party is contesting three.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal exuded confidence in the alliance's victory in the national capital after campaigning for the AAP and Congress candidates in Delhi.
The Supreme Court gave interim bail to the Aam Aadmi Party convenor till June 1 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the national capital. However, as per the terms of his bail, the Delhi Chief Minister cannot make any comment about his role in the Delhi liquor scam case. (ANI)
