Kejriwal doesn't take actions against defaulters until it gets undeniable: Prashant Bhushan
New Delhi [India], Sept 1 (ANI): Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan on Thursday took potshots at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that the latter avoids taking action against defaulters until the matter gets grave or is on the verge of getting exposed. Reacting to Delhi Minister Sandeep Kumar's sacking, Bhushan said that Kejriwal tries to avoid accusations till the last and only takes action when the matter becomes undeniable. "I can't say when Arvind Kejriwal became aware of this particular complaint against Sandeep Kumar, but what I can say is that Arvind Kejriwal does not act against people even if he has information about them being forgers or corrupt," said Bhushan. "He acts only when it becomes clear that it is no longer deniable or it is going to be exposed by the media. Therefore, I would not be surprised if he knew about this many days before actually sacking his minister," he added. A CD featuring Sandeep Kumar was delivered to Kejriwal's home yesterday. Half-an-hour later, he tweeted that he was sacking, the Minister. According to reports, the CD shows Kumar in a 'compromising position with two women'. It also had 11 photographs. Meanwhile, the AAP claimed that it had set high standards of probity in public life by taking quick action against Kumar. "AAP is a party of ideals. AAP has a zero tolerance policy towards corruption, scandals," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said. "Ministers found taking bribes were removed immediately as soon as it was found. Action will be taken swiftly against any member irrespective of status or position," he told the media. Elected from Sultanpur Majra, 34-year-old Kumar was the youngest minister in Kejriwal's Cabinet after the Aam Aadmi Party was voted to power in February 2015. He had won the rural constituency with a margin of 64,439 votes. (ANI)
