Kashmiri youth must set goals to achieve success in life, says actor Rufy Khan
Mumbai, July 9 (ANI): His dream of becoming a Bollywood actor brought Rufy Khan from Srinagar to tinsel town Mumbai. Standing tall at six feet, Rufy Khan is today a successful actor, having acted in many commercials and films. Hailing from the Kashmir valley, Rufy completed his degree in civil engineering from Aligarh University and trained himself in martial arts and gymnastics. His resemblance to Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar motivated him to try his luck in acting and modeling. "I didn't know anyone in Mumbai; I didn't even know the roads of Mumbai - Andheri East or West? What are Bandra East and Bandra West? So, how have I done it? Because it was my aim to become an actor! I didn't even know what acting is but I have learned. And one more important thing is that one should not fear failure. The most important thing for every youth is to not fear fromfailure, learn from it - what was the mistake because of which I failed. Then take out that particular mistake and practice on it. That is the sole best thing. If you have done this, then you will be successful," Khan said. After his debut in "Nautanki Saala", Khan has worked in "The Black Truth" and "Dhara 302", an action drama. He believes the Kashmir youth have the potential to make a mark in the field of acting. "Kashmiri youth is very talented. They are very hard working but there is only one flaw that they haven't decided their destiny yet. They don't decide their goals. When people decide their goal, like they want to reach certain kind of level in life, for example if somebody decided to become an IAS Officer, he must always visualize himself as an actual IAS Officer. If somebody wants to become a big business man, then right from the beginning in his adolescence period, he must choose his aim in life. Concentrate on your aim, day and night. Success will definitely happen and why not? You people are very hard working and talented," Khan said. Very few actors from the Kashmir valley have attained success in acting. Khan stands out as a role model for many Kashmiri youth who wish to make it to Bollywood. (ANI)
