Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 5 (ANI): TJ Abraham, the complainant in MUDA case against CM Siddaramaiah's family, submitted a Memorandum to the Commissioner of MUDA on Monday, seeking the cancellation and recall of the 14 alternative compensatory sites given to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife Parvathi B M.
In a letter dated August 5, TJ Abraham stated, "A complaint under Section 173 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been given to the Karnataka Lokayukta Police at Mysore, on 18th July 2024 and followed it up with additional information to the Lokayukta Police on July 25, for Cognizable offences, seeking an investigation and registration of the FIR, for the illegal manipulations and corrupt steps taken at various stages and all the crimes committed in the course of the 14 Alternative Compensatory Site Allotments given to Parvathi B M, which was allegedly in lieu of the 3 Acres & 16 Guntas, in Sy.No. 464, of Kesere Village, in Mysore, supposedly belonging to Parvathi B M, claimed to have been acquired by MUDA, which has resulted in a loss of Rs. 55,80,00,700 according to me to the State Exchequer."
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday reiterated that the MUDA case will be dealt with legally and politically properly. He said that the show cause notice issued by Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot in the MUDA case should be withdrawn.
Speaking to reporters in Belagavi on Monday, he said, "The show cause notice issued by the Governor regarding the MUDA case should be withdrawn. Similarly, we requested the governor to reject the complaint given by activist TJ Abraham." He said that he would wait and watch what decision the Governor would take in this regard.
Accusing the central government of misusing the Raj Bhawan to destabilize the state government, CM Siddaramaiah said that the Governor is acting as a puppet of the Central Government, BJP-JDS alliance.
Speaking to the media at the Mysuru airport before leaving for the Kodagu district, the CM said that the Governor issuing a show cause notice to him over the MUDA scam is illegal and unconstitutional."The central government is misusing the Raj Bhavan in an attempt to destabilize the elected government," he said.
Earlier, a complaint was filed by social activist Snehamayi Krishna against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and nine others for allegedly forging documents to claim compensation from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority.
The complaint alleges wrongdoing by Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathy, his brother-in-law Malikarjuna Swamy Devaraj, who claimed to be a landowner, and his family. It was further alleged that MUDA created fake documents and obtained plots worth crores of rupees. Snehamayi Krishna has raised several questions in his complaint.
The BJP demands that the land given to the CM's family should be returned. The opposition accused Siddaramaiah of usurping the lands that belonged to the Dalit community. (ANI)
