"Just like hat-trick in cricket, Kejriwal, Atishi and Sisodia going to lose": Congress' Sandeep Dikshit

New Delhi [India], January 5 (ANI): Congress candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat, Sandeep Dikshit said on Sunday that just like there is a hat-trick in cricket, all the three top leaders of Aam Aadmi Party- Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi and Manish Sisodia will lose in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Speaking to ANI, Dikshit pointed out that there is a "Mini bar" in Kejriwal's former official residence.
"I was shocked when I came to know that there (in the then CM official residence) was a 'mini bar', then I realized why the liquor policy was brought - do we have 'mini bar' in any government residence? They (AAP) do not understand what repercussions these things will have. Just like a hat trick in cricket - all three - Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi and Manish Sisodia are going to lose," he said.
He emphasized that their target is to form the government in Delhi and not to target any individual.
"We do politics of principles and policies. In 2013-14, everyone used to say that Delhi has become a global city. Earlier, Delhi used to change every moment, but in the last 10 years, the MCD was with the BJP, but they could not even clear the garbage from the roads. Delhi has been turned into a city of garbage. Congress has built Delhi and we will build it in future too," Sandeep Dikshit said.
The 'Sheesh Mahal' controversy centres around allegations that Arvind Kejriwal spent crores of rupees renovating his official residence during the Covid-19 pandemic, a period when many public development projects were stalled.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Kejriwal, who resigned as chief minister in September this year, vacated the Flagstaff Road bungalow in Civil Lines on October 4.
Earlier, another Congress candidate Alka Lamba slammed Arvind Kejriwal, over the alleged use of Rs 33 crores of taxpayers' money for the renovation of the Chief Minister's official residence during the pandemic. (ANI)
