JP Nadda thanks PM Modi, Sitharaman for announcing financial assistance to Himachal

Union Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for allocating financial assistance to Himachal Pradesh after losses due to floods and other natural calamities.

New Delhi [India], July 23 (ANI): Union Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for allocating financial assistance to Himachal Pradesh after losses due to floods and other natural calamities.
Sitharaman on Tuesday announced financial assistance to states including Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand and Sikkim which have suffered losses due to floods and other natural calamities.
For Himachal Pradesh, the Finance Minister announced assistance for reconstruction and rehabilitation.
"Himachal Pradesh suffered extensive losses due to floods last year. Our government will provide assistance to the state for reconstruction and rehabilitation through multilateral development assistance," Sitharaman said.
The central government will provide economic assistance to Himachal Pradesh for reconstruction and rehabilitation.
In a post on social media X, Union Minister JP Nadda wrote, "Disasters may occur for a short period of time, but their impact haunts us for years. Last year, Dev Bhoomi Himachal Pradesh experienced one of the worst disasters in its history. Today, Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji announced aid to Himachal Pradesh, where the central government will provide assistance to the state for reconstruction and rehabilitation through multilateral development assistance. Dev Bhoomi has always held a special place in the heart of Hon. Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji. This assistance underscores his love and bond with the people of Himachal Pradesh. Grateful to PM Modi ji and FM Smt. @nsitharaman ji for taking such a significant step."

The Finance Minister presented the first Union Budget of the Modi 3.0 government and her seventh consecutive one during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. The budget session of Parliament began on July 22 and, according to schedule, will end on August 12. (ANI)
