"JKNC works for welfare of people": National Conference candidate from Budhal Assembly constituency

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 29 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference candidate from the Budhal Assembly constituency, Mohd Javed Choudhary on Wednesday thanked the party's high command and said that JKNC is a secular party that works for the welfare of the people.
"I would thank the party high command for entrusting me with this constituency. JKNC is a secular party that works for the welfare of all... Unemployment is a major issue here. There has been no recruitment for the last 10 years... We want a government to be formed here at the earliest so that people's problems are solved," Choudhary told ANI.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference announced the names of 32 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in the Union territory. Omar Abdullah is all set to contest from Ganderbal.
On August 26, the National Conference announced a list of 18 candidates who have been nominated as candidates from the party for the upcoming Assembly elections.
This comes a day after Congress and the JKNC announced a seat-sharing deal with the former contesting on 32 seats while the latter, on 51 seats.
The National Conference will contest 51 of 90 seats and Congress 32, according to the seat-sharing pact reached by the two parties for the assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir. The two parties will also have a "friendly contest" on five seats.
Polling in Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 4.
Voting will be held for 90 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the Election Commission, the Union Territory has 88.06 lakh electors. (ANI)
