Dhule (Maharashtra) [India], May 14 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and said how the Congress leader can give a befitting reply to Pakistan, whose "launch has failed 20 times in politics."
Addressing a public meeting, Amit Shah also questioned former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for not attending the Ram Mandir's Pran Pratishtha on January 22 even after getting the invitation.
"During the Corona period, everyone was given a free vaccine, and we travelled from Chandrayaan to the moon. Whose launch has failed 20 times in politics, can Rahul Gandhi be able to launch Chandrayaan? Can he give a befitting reply to Pakistan? Can they end naxalism and terrorism? Can they serve the poor? These people (INDI Alliance) have gathered only for their families," he said on Monday.
Home Minister Shah also pointed out that a choice has to be made between Congress, which is accused of scams and Narendra Modi.
"This election is divided into two camps. On one side, it is Congress and its allies who committed the scams of Rs 12 lakh crore and on the other side, there is Narendra Modi, who is not accused of corruption of even 25 paisa. A choice has to be made between these two. I want to ask the Congress and its allies, especially Uddhav Thackeray, why he did not go to Pran Pratishtha even after receiving the invitation. He did not go because he was afraid of his vote bank," he said.
Further, the Home Minister said that Modi ji has done the work of ending terrorism by removing Article 370, which Congress kept stalling for years.
"The answer to the Pulwama and Uri attacks was given by PM Modi in their (Pakistan) own house. Can Rahul Baba make the country safe? The Congress placed the country's economy in the 11th position but Modi ji brought the country's economy to the fifth position in 10 years," Shah said.
"I want to ask 5 questions to Uddhav Thackeray, who left his principles for power. Congress leaders supported terrorist Kasab, is Uddhav with them? The Congress party wants to bring back Muslim personal law, is Uddhav Thackeray with it? Is Uddhav with Congress when they oppose Veer Savarkar? Stalin and his associates opposed Sanatana Dharma and Uddhav joins hands with them," he added. (ANI)
