"Jhumla Patra...Jharkhand people will not believe": Opposition on BJP's manifesto

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], November 3 (ANI): Calling the Bharatiya Janata Party's manifesto for Jharkhand "Jhumla Patra," the opposition leaders on Sunday said that the people of the state will not trust the party's manifesto as when the BJP was in power neither Jharkhand nor Ranchi developed during their regime.
JMM candidate from Ranchi, Mahua Maji said that the central government has not yet given the coal royalty to the state government.
"No one will believe this manifesto because the public has seen their governments, neither Jharkhand nor Ranchi developed during their time. Trafficking of women was at its peak during the BJP's tenure... The central government has not yet given the coal royalty to the state government," Maji said.
Earlier on Saturday, Jharkhand Chief Minister urged PM Modi and the Union Home Minister to clear Rs 1.36 lakh-crore coal dues to the state.
Former Jharkhand Congress chief Rajesh Thakur said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah doesn't know what he says.
"Union Home Minister doesn't know what he says, if he speaking as Union Home Minister, then it is wrong but if you are speaking as a BJP leader then it is fine because it is your habit to lie. Why are you saying tribals won't be included in UCC? You just want to mislead people during election time," Thakur said.
RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said that the BJP is failing miserably in Jharkhand.
"Wherever BJP announces their manifestos, it turns out to be 'Jhumla Patra'...BJP ruled Jharkhand for the longest time but what did they give Jharkhand?...BJP is failing miserably in Jharkhand...INDIA alliance is going to form the govt in Jharkhand," Tiwari said.
In its manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, the BJP party announced it will provide Rs 2,100 every month to all the women in their bank accounts if voted to power.
The manifesto was launched in the state capital Ranchi in the presence of Union Home Minister and senior party leader Amit Shah.
The BJP also promised that all lands occupied by the infiltrators will be returned to the tribal communities.
He further vowed to provide Rs 2,100 per month to every woman of the state if the BJP returns to power.
"Under the 'Gogo Didi scheme', women will be given Rs 2100 every month. Free LPG gas cylinders will be given on Diwali and Rakshabandhan and the cylinders will be given for Rs 500. 5 lakh employment opportunities will be created for the youth of Jharkhand," Amit Shah said.
Shah announced the party will implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Jharkhand and will also "drive out infiltrators" coming from Bangladesh.
"Hemant Babu, a Uniform Civil Code will certainly be implemented in Jharkhand, but the identity and heritage of the tribal communities will be fully preserved. Uniform Civil Code will be introduced in Jharkhand but the Tribal community will be kept out of the ambit of UCC," Shah said.
Elections for 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly will be conducted in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 23.
In the previous assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the BJP won 25 and Congress won 16 seats. (ANI)
