Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], October 4 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jharkhand unit President Babulal Marandi slammed the JMM-led Jharkhand government and alleged its involvement in a coal scam in Dhanbad.
Speaking to ANI on Thursday, Babulal Marandi said, "...There has been a coal scam in Dhanbad. All records have been broken and new records have been created... There will be an investigation into this... He (Hemant Soren) will have to answer..."
On Thursday, in a post on X, Babulal Marandi welcomed the Jharkhand High Court's decision for a CBI investigation in the Dhanbad coal scam.
"The order of the Hon'ble Jharkhand High Court for CBI investigation in the Dhanbad coal scam case is welcome. By posting a corrupt SP in Dhanbad despite objections, Hemant Soren created the ground for a scam of billions of rupees in Dhanbad and caused huge financial loss to the government treasury; an impartial and detailed investigation of that scam was necessary," he wrote on X.
He further accused Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren of 'ruining' the economy of the state by 'plundering' important natural resources like Coal.
"Hemant ruined the economy of the state by plundering important natural resources like coal. The functioning of the Hemant government in the above case was questionable," Babulal Marandi's post reads.
"Hemant, who committed the sin of weakening the state by protecting corrupt officials despite being warned several times by me in writing letters, should still learn a lesson and immediately suspend the tainted officials and cooperate in the CBI investigation," he added in his post.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met the Bharatiya Janata Party workers at Ranchi airport and appreciated their efforts in serving the party.
"At Ranchi Airport, I talked to the workers serving in the BJP office. I am proud that there are many such workers in our party who are working day and night to strengthen the party," PM Modi posted on X.
PM Modi also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated and launched various projects worth over Rs 83,300 crore in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh.
Addressing the public gathering in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh, PM Modi said that 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are being inaugurated and foundation stones have been laid for 25 more EMRS. (ANI)
