Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], December 11 (ANI): Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party president Babulal Marandi has said that the Governor's speech and the forthcoming state budget were discussed in the BJP's legislature party meeting held here.
He also said that the BJP MLAs were given instructions on what should be done since the party's 'Sanghatan Parv' would be started in the state from December 22.
This comes after the BJP organised its legislature party meeting in Ranchi here on Tuesday. Marandi informed that they have tasked BJP MLAs in Jharkhand to reach out to different areas.
"We talked briefly about the Governor's speech and the budget that is going to be presented (in the assembly). In today's meeting, discussions were held on what the party should do, and MLAs were given instructions...BJP's 'Sanghatan Parv' has been initiated. In Jharkhand, it started a little late, officially it will start on 22nd December, so we have asked the MLAs to take time to reach out in other areas so that the party can undertake extensive work in a short time," the Jharkhand BJP President told ANI.
BJP leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren also said they discussed the future plans of the party. He said the BJP will work to show a mirror to the government.
"We discussed about the organisation. We discussed the future plans. We will work to put everything in front of the public. We will work to show the mirror to the government," Soren told ANI.
Meanwhile, the special session of the sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly began on Monday, marking the start of the newly formed government in the state.
Jharkhand Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore stated that the Vidhan Sabha session will last for four days.
"The Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha session will run from December 9 to 12. The first two days will involve the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected MLAs. The oath can be administered in 20 languages. The second important agenda is the election of the Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly," Kishore said.
He further added, "There will also be a debate on the Governor's address and a discussion on the second supplementary budget. Over the last five years, the state has seen development that was not seen in the previous 19 years. If the opposition makes any false accusations, we will condemn it." (ANI)
