Jamtara (Jharkhand) [India], September 26 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday accused the JMM-led coalition in Jharkhand of providing shelter to infiltrators under a "planned conspiracy" in the state, claiming that infiltrators are occupying tribal land and ruining their culture.
While addressing the "Parivartan Sabha" organised in the Nala Assembly Constituency of Jamtara district in Jharkhand on Thursday, CM Dhami said, "Congress and its allies are a gang of scams. Jharkhand's Chief Minister has also returned after serving the jail term. Congress ruled the country for 60 years after independence. In these 60 years, Congress has only filled its coffers."
Addressing people, the Chief Minister said that he had come among everyone from the holy land of Baba Kedar, Uttarakhand.
He said that seeing the people of Kundhit region and their love, there is a flow of energy. The campaign launched by the BJP of Jharkhand should not stop.
"Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and Jharkhand state came into existence together. Both the states are famous for their ancient cultures. Jharkhand has a glorious history of immense forest wealth, natural resources, and the courage of tribal society. Our tribal people were the first to raise their voice against the British," CM Dhami said.
The Chief Minister said that after the independence of the country, the tribal society was not taken care of.
"Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has worked to advance the development of the state and tribal society by creating the state of Jharkhand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked continuously to increase the respect and self-respect of the tribal society," he added.
He said that we are proud that the daughter of the tribal society, Droupadi Murmu, is the President of the country. All this has been possible under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
He said that the Prime Minister declared the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda as Janjati Gaurav Diwas. Many museums have been built for tribal freedom fighters at a cost of 200 crores. The work of bringing the people of the tribal society into the mainstream is going on under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, many schemes are being run by the Central Government, keeping the tribal society at the center.
"Work is being done to take people forward through many schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Yojana, and PM Awas Yojana. Today's schemes are not just on paper but are a guarantee of Prime Minister Modi. Work is being done to take Jharkhand forward under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Many works have been done in Jharkhand, like infrastructure development, highways, elevated roads, renovation and reconstruction of 57 new railway stations, connectivity of Vande Bharat train in the state, foundation stone of 20 Eklavya residential schools, and construction of AIIMS in Deoghar," Dhami said.
The Chief Minister said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, cards of 1 crore 2 lakh people have been made in Jharkhand state, and houses have been constructed for 55 lakh people under the housing scheme.
"More than 38 lakh families have been given gas cylinders for free. Pure water is being supplied to 32 lakh families. More than 30 lakh farmers are getting Samman Nidhi. More than 33000 kilometers of road have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. About 340 km of road has been constructed in the Jamtara area. About 88 thousand farmers in Jamtara district have been given Samman Nidhi of Rs 154 crore. Along with the schemes, the Prime Minister has also taken many tough and big decisions in the interest of the country," CM Dhami said.
The Chief Minister said that "on one side there is the BJP under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Modi Ji, who gives priority to the public welfare by doing development, and on the other side there is appeasement, nepotism, JMM, RJD, and the Congress gang, which are immersed in corruption. The Jharkhand government and the opposition are conspiring to play with the demography of Jharkhand. Infiltrators are being given shelter under the protection of the Jharkhand government. The opposition people are conspiring to hand over the land, resources, and culture of the tribals to the infiltrators. These infiltrators are also playing with the lives of our daughters."
The Chief Minister said that in many areas of this region slogans of "Hindus and tribals leave Jharkhand" are raised.
"The Jharkhand government and its opposition allies are protecting such people. Infiltration in Jharkhand will fill up with a large number of infiltrators in the coming times. Earlier, the number of tribals in this area had come down from 44 to 28 per cent. This is a big question...? We all have to find the answer to this question together. The Jharkhand government has always cheated the tribals. More than two lakh government posts are vacant in Jharkhand. All these posts will be filled when the BJP government comes. He said that the corrupt government of Jharkhand distributes papers by taking money. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand has been to jail in many scams and has come out on bail," he said.
The Chief Minister said that there is a conspiracy to stop Durga Puja in Ranchi. The Congress and JMM government conspire to not set up Durga Puja pandals. He urged the people to form a BJP government in Jharkhand.
Jharkhand is set to go to polls for its 81-member legislative assembly later this year, as the current government's tenure ends on January 5, 2025. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is yet to announce the dates. (ANI)
