Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], August 2 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs on Friday staged a protest against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren over the scarcity of sand in the state.
In a unique protest, the BJP MLAs had set up a small stall outside the assembly and were protesting against the rising price of sand in the state.
Visuals have shown that they were selling sand for Rs 100 per kilogram and saying that there is a shortage of sand in the state and it might get costlier than gold.
They were seen raising slogans, "Jab-Jab Hemant Sarkar Aata Hai, Baalu Ko Le Jaata Hai" against the Soren government and alleged that whenever his government comes to the state, it is being transported to Mumbai.
Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that BJP leaders have looted the lands of the people of Jharkhand and even murdered to build their party offices.
He made this claim while addressing the monsoon session in Jharkhand's legislative assembly.
Citing a report as evidence, the chief minister accused the BJP of having looted the people during their rule and said, "What they have done in five years? They have looted lands to construct buildings on it. The pictures (data) are from 24 districts where the BJP has constructed its party offices."
Soren further said that the central investigative agencies lodged him in jail for false accusations and are not arresting BJP leaders.
He further alleged, "They (BJP) have not just looted land, they have murdered people also. Not just one, they murdered people in numbers. These land robbers had put me in jail. They had put the CBI and other agencies behind me, but these agencies won't arrest them. They should tell from where did they acquired money to build the party offices. They even have constructed party offices on government land."
Adding to it further, Soren said, "They don't have to do anything with the reply. Neither in the House nor outside. What should I reply to them? They (BJP) run the shop of looting and cheating, Some in Pakur while some in Jamshedpur. They have a big gang so they manage to mislead the people." (ANI)
