JD-U warns RJD not to test its patience anymore
Patna (Bihar) [India], July 21 (ANI): Once again training its guns on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's son and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, the Janata Dal (United) on Friday warned the former not to test its patience. Speaking to ANI, JD-U leader Alok said, "After the recent raids, Tejashwi Yadav's face and behaviour is changed. Our patience is being tested; those who have to answer are silent. I would like to ask- Are you putting cotton in your ears? Those who need to answer the truth must come out and reply rather than being quite." Yesterday, Tejashwi Yadav had stated that the state's ruling Grand Alliance is united and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of stirring a "conspiracy" to create confusion. Earlier, with ties between the Janata Dal (United) and RJD appearing to wobble over Tejashwi Yadav who is facing conspiracy charged, the JD (U) has said that it is RJD's responsibility to respect the party's sentiments. Speaking to ANI, JD (U) spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said that a situation has come where RJD has to take a decision keeping in mind their party's sentiments. This has come after Tejaswi Yadav skipped an official function on July 15 which he was supposed to attend with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Meanwhile, both Tejashwi and RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav have ruled out resignation for the Deputy Chief Minister, who is embroiled in corruption charges. Tejashwi has maintained that all is well as long as the alliance with Janata Dal (United) is concerned. Earlier, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slammed Nitish Kumar for giving a four-day deadline to Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav to prove his innocence in the corruption case and said the Bihar Chief Minister is doing drama to keep himself safe. Accusing Nitish Kumar of having both his feet planted in two boats conveniently, Lok Janshakti Party leader Ram Vilas Paswan has called on Nitish Kumar to take a decision on the fate of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav who is facing corruption charges. Asserting that Nitish was known for his oscillating stands on matters, Paswan put the onus on the Chief Minister to end the row surrounding Tejashwi, who is the son of RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, a longtime ally of the former. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a corruption case against Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi; former Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Managing Director P.K. Goyal; and the wife of Lalu's confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata on allegations of awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006. The CBI later questioned Rabri Devi and Tejashwi. (ANI)
