New Delhi [India], May 2 (ANI): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday reminded naval commanders that preparedness is the best deterrent. He was addressing the opening ceremony of a four-day naval commanders' conference here. Jaitley apprised naval commanders of the prevailing and emerging security situation in the subcontinent and the expanding presence of extra regional powers in the India Ocean Region. He also referred to the situation on the western border and its linkage to internal security. Acknowledging the various crucial requirements of the Indian Navy, Jaitley assured the commanders that "the government is working on all issues very positively and is going to increase the resources".
