New Delhi [India], Feb. 23 (ANI): India's Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar on Thursday called Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and briefed her on the recent developments in India-Bangladesh relations. He also discussed preparatory aspects of the proposed visit of Prime Minister Hasina to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Jaishankar is on a two-day visit to Dhaka at the invitation of Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Mohammad Shahidul Haque. "The two Foreign Secretaries reviewed the areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Both sides noted with appreciation that there has been excellent implementation of decisions taken during the visit of the Prime Minister of India to Bangladesh in June 2015," said an official release. Both sides also took stock of decisions taken during the recent meetings of various bilateral mechanisms in the areas of security and border management, trade and commerce, power, energy, shipping, railways etc. Both Foreign Secretaries also shared their perspectives on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
