Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 23 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that there will be no law and order situation in the state if YSR Congress (YSRC) chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is voted to power.
“Jagan is an anarchist. If he comes to power, state development will be hampered. He is an expert in crimes. If he comes to power, there will be no law and order in the state,” the chief minister said while addressing a public rally at Pendurthi in Visakhapatnam.
Naidu accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of helping YSR party chief in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
“Jagan has become a slave of KCR. The TRS leader is sending Rs 1000 crores to Andhra Pradesh, to support Jagan in the elections. We do not need such sin money. Jagan knelt before KCR like a slave. Andhraites should him teach them a lesson,” he said.
Naidu, who is the chief of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) claimed that Reddy is colluding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to get rid of cases pending against him.
“Jagan surrendered to Modi to get rid of the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases against him. Modi is angry with me as I am fighting against him now,” he said.
Naidu’s TDP supported the BJP-led government after 2014 Lok Sabha elections but withdrew the support in March last year over the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
In 2014 assembly elections, Naidu-led TDP won 103 seats and YSRC bagged 67 seats. BJP had won only four seats and the Congress could not get even a single seat.
Naidu is going to contest from the Kuppam seat in Chittoor district for the seventh consecutive time. He had contested from the seat for the first time in 1989.
The elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly are scheduled to be held on April 11 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls. The counting of votes for both will take place on May 23. (ANI)
