Krishna Ghati (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 12 (ANI): An Indian soldier was martyred after the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing on the Indian Army posts in Jammu and Kashmir's Krishna Ghati sector at around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively. The soldier has been identified as Nb Sub Jagram Singh Tomar, who got grievously injured during the exchange of fire and succumbed to his injuries. Tomar, aged 42 years, belonged to Madhya Pradesh's Morena and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. Earlier today, a joint cordon and search operation (CASO) was conducted by the security forces in the Awneera village of Shopian district. At least two to three terrorists are suspected to have been trapped in the area. (ANI)
