New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI): Praising Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Haryana Aam Aadmi Party President Sushil Gupta said that it is 'very difficult' to find an honest person like the Delhi CM.
The Haryana AAP president said that if the Delhi CM wanted to make money then he could have stayed in the Income Tax department, but instead he decided to serve the people of Delhi.
"It is very difficult to find an honest person like Arvind Kejriwal. He was the Commissioner of the Income Tax Department. If he wanted to earn money, he could have earned crores there, he could have lived a peaceful life. He left that job and stayed in jhuggis, went to Mother Teresa's camp and served the people of Delhi. He has left the seat of the Chief Minister before too," Gupta said while speaking to ANI.
The AAP Haryana President further criticised the BJP and said that BJP has tried to break the party, but Kejriwal didn't 'bow down or break' and decided he would go to people's court to show his honesty.
"BJP tried a lot to break us. They did everything but Arvind Kejriwal was not afraid of jail and did not bow down or break. Supreme Court gave him bail, the court said that BJP had misused its power and that CBI is working as a parrot of the government. But Arvind Kejriwal decided Arvind Kejriwal decided that he would go to the people's court, and get a decision from them" he said.
Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the only thing he has earned throughout his life is "honesty" and accused the BJP of framing false charges of corruption, theft, and deceiving the public. Moreover, he also said that he was sent to jail in a bid to break AAP.
"They sent me to jail because their goal was to break the AAP and the courage of Arvind Kejriwal... They thought they would break our party and form a government in Delhi after jailing me... But our party did not break... I did not resign from the jail because I wanted to protect the Constitution of India. I wanted to fail their formula... The SC asked the central government why a government cannot run from the jail... The SC proved that a government can run from jail..." the Delhi CM said. (ANI)
