Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 12 (ANI): Coming out heavily against the Bharatiya Janata Party, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader Sanjay Singh said that it is "Modi ki Guarantee" that every corrupt leader in the country will be inducted in BJP.
The Rajya Sabha MP also announced that AAP, which is not contesting upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, will fully support and campaign for the Samajwadi Party.
Addressing a joint press conference with former CM Akhilesh Yadav, Sanjay Singh said, "This is Modi's guarantee, that he will not leave any corrupt, from north to south, from east to west, and will make every corrupt join BJP, this is his guarantee. Take examples of Ajit Pawar, Chagan Bujhbal, Narayan Rane, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Suvendu Adhikari. He is precisely inducting every corrupt into his party and is talking about corruption? This is a double standard."
On being asked if the Delhi Chief Minister should resign as demanded by the BJP, Sanjay Singh said that shouldn't Manipur CM Biren Singh and Union MoS Ajay Teni resign instead.
"Shouldn't the Manipur Chief Minister resign? A state where violence has been taking place for the last year, where a Kargil war veteran's wife was paraded naked. Shouldn't his resignation be sought? Ajay Mishra Teni's son killed four farmers, shouldn't his resignation be sought? And they (BJP) are demanding the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal. At least we don't need to learn morality from BJP," the Rajya Sabha MP said.

He further thanked Akhilesh Yadav for extending support to Kejriwal and AAP.
Announcing support for the Samajwadi Party, he added, "INDIA bloc will win the upcoming 2024 elections. We are not contesting in UP, but each and every party worker of ours and leaders holding various posts in the party will work to make the SP candidate win. Because this is a big battle."
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also commended Sanjay Singh, who was recently released on bail, after being arrested in connection with the excise policy case.
"When I had gone to the huge rally in Delhi in support of Arvind Kejriwal, I had said that India is being criticised globally, elected representatives are being treated like this? BJP is even interfering in the central agencies. Similarly, we saw Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was arrested. Using those very institutions, they made governments in Maharashtra and threatening people to join their party," Yadav said.
"I also thank Sanjay Singh for supporting us. He has also suffered a lot and was arrested on false charges. Whoever goes through suffering in democracy, is rewarded by the public at some time," he added. (ANI)
