Hyderabad, Telangana [India], October 18 ((ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader Sridhar Reddy on Wednesday hit out at BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri for his remarks targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, state minister and his son KT Rama Rao and daughter K Kavitha.
"The remarks smack of indecency and arrogance. Is this how an MP should speak? The people of Nizamabad will teach him a lesson. BJP will not win a single seat in the Assembly elections," the BRS leader told ANI.
On Tuesday, the BJP MP questioned the support extended by All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi to CM KCR, voicing concerns meted out to Muslims by the KCR-led government.
"Owaisi, a self-proclaimed representative of the Muslim community, and an ally of BRS, should question KCR for giving 10 lakhs for Dalit Bandhu and only 1 lakh for Muslim Bandhu. Why is Owaisi supporting KCR despite his government meting out step-motherly treatment to Muslims," Dharmapuri said.
"Owaisi is saying that he a the partner of the BRS and will fight the upcoming elections together. But the BRS is drowning the Muslims in misery," the BJP MP added.
He added that BRS and the Congress indulge in communal politics but the BJP stays clear of it and focuses on development.
"The BRS and the Congress indulge in politics on the lines of religion but the BJP stays clear of it. For Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party, everyone is equal. PM Modi is the most popular leader in the world," he added.
The Telangana Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on November 30 and the counting of votes, along with that of four other poll-bound states, is scheduled for December 3.
Telangana is set to witness a triangular contest between the BJP, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and the Congress in the upcoming assembly election. (ANI)
