Indian Navy seeks ISRO's help to locate missing IAF plane
Visakhapatnam, July 24 (ANI): Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Naval Command, today said all efforts are being made to locate the missing IAF aircraft AN-32, adding help is also being sought from the ISRO for satellite image of the area.

Visakhapatnam, July 24 (ANI): Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Naval Command, today said all efforts are being made to locate the missing IAF aircraft AN-32, adding help is also being sought from the ISRO for satellite image of the area. Vice Admiral Bisht said that a large number of ships, Air Force aircrafts, helicopters, coast guard ships have been deployed in the search operation. "In addition, we are also asking for ISRO's help for satellite image of that area so that at least we have some information. But parallel to that we are also reaching out to the families. We have kept continuous contact with the families; we are passing them the information on regular basis," Vice Admiral Bisht told ANI. "We are making full efforts, but our efforts are being hindered because of the monsoon and the other issue is the depth. The depth at the sea is quite much. It is like 3500 meters deep; in such conditions it becomes difficult. But all in all, we are giving our best and will keep on the search operations till the time we get some fruitful information," he added. The search operation to trace the missing IAF aircraft goes on unhindered for the third day on Sunday, braving monsoon weather conditions in the sea. The mission is now centred on the probable crash zone of about five thousand square kilometre centered around the probable area of disappearance of the transport aircraft from the radar screens on Friday morning.
