India public demands that Pak be given a suitable lesson, says expert
New Delhi [India], Nov. 9 (ANI): An expert on security and defence on Wednesday said a majority of Indians are of the view that a suitable lesson needs to be given to Pakistan for its ceasefire violations. "Pakistan is trying to escalate tension in the border area. It's time to wake up to the possibility of something much worst happening and restrain the state and the Pakistan government which has been subsidizing such acts, because Indian patience also has a limit. Public demand is building up for teaching Pakistan a lesson," said defence expert M.M. Khajuria. Echoing similar sentiments, Brigadier (Retired) Anil Gupta said the time has come for India to take strict action against Pakistan. On Tuesday, Pakistani Rangers again resorted to heavy shelling and gunning at Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera Sector. No casualty or injuries have been reported so far. On Monday, the Pakistan Army violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing in Mendhar Sector, Jammu and Kashmir, to which the Indian troops gave a befitting reply. This is the 101st incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan, following India's surgical strike across the Line of Control (LoC) on September 29. No casualties have been reported on the Indian side till last reports came in. (ANI)
